Natalla is a barony under the Duke of Dereth, within in the Kingdom of Tarse.

It is unusal for a place that lives deep within a forest, far from mountains slopes and wild life, to carry as a sigil snow leopards; this can be explained by looking into its distant past.

Natalla lies deep within the Thornwood forest, which stretches for many leagues on its own, and is essentially a forester and lumberjack town, who fell and export the trees once planned into planks, but is also host to grape fields that fill a large portion of the old cleared lands which are seen favourably.

Natalla has no standing garrision, the army under their power long ago, which were the seeds of legend, has been for since assigned to Yampi in <year> many years back.  Instead they have a Ranger chapter, an off-shoot of the Trail Seekers of Dereth, which acts also as a town guard.

The current Captain, or Huntmaster which the title is also called within the Ranger chapter, is Jeese Cather, who reports to the Baron of Natalla.

A large near-wholey wood ramparted Fort rests along the north edge of the town; it contains the Rangers chapter house, barracks, armory and its stone core is the Baron's own from were he rules the town (but does not reside).

The Ranger uniform, or common armor more accurately, is mainly leather (often studded), little metal armor such as chainmail and especially plate is used.  The only sign they are under direct alliegence to the Baron of Natalla is the town sigil they bear on their chests (when possible).

The clothes of the common people is similair to that worn by those of Dereth; men wear elbow length shirts of stout thick wool over long sleeved shirts (often of a thinner weave) that reaches to the wrists with belted serviceable trousers.  Women commonly wear  __.

History
Natalla first began as a village of foresters and lumberjacks to supply the timber for the growing Kingdom.  As the threat of the Dark Elves and T’Lukta to the north became more prominent and Dereths budding military strength was already pitted against the Empire to the south and could spare few men, and the quarry town of Yampi was yet even a thought.  So Natalla formed a garrison, levied from the local population, and charged with the protection of the north.

They were given what equipment of weapons and armor that could be spared, and a troupe of architects arrived with them to construct a Fort using the remaining folk along the towns edge so that the new garrison could fall back on in times of need

Inexperienced, untrained, and ill equipped, the newly formed company was sent to the Blue Mountains, under a Captain William Hawking, sent from Dereth.  The long journey itself was not wasted by the resourceful Captain, training them in basic melee combat, commands of the march, and fighting as a group.  The most promising he made his Lieutenants.

This part of the Blue Mountains was little mapped, for the Dark Elves would reached right into the Thornwood before they would be encountered.  Scouting the rocky outcrops at the mountains edges they found <rock cusp, very defensible, only be attacked from one direction>.  They set up camp and constructed as best defenses as they could manage.  Little did they know that later that very site would become the thriving city of Yampi.

It was only a week after they had set up camp that their first meeting with the Dark Elves was made.  No words were spoken, and supposedly the Dark Elves attacked immediately with wordless cries without heed or warning.

Their deeds were such that they are named in stories Wardens of the North, and many songs are still sung of their deeds, and children imagine themselves as the legendary Captain William Hawking single-handedly fighting of the raging hordes.

Though nowadays Yampi guards the north border, Natalla is often a reliable reinforcement in times of need in the name of old honor and new friendship with Yampi.
